Message From The President
Starting with a vision to provide an affordable and dependable alerting system in 2008, APS Firehouse Alerting has grown to what it is today. APS was incorporated in 1994 selling and installing access control, camera systems and intrusion systems throughout MD and PA. Early in the alerting system market, radio frequency based alerting was the only option to station alerting. Today, we provide CAD alerting and continue to provide RF based alerting options for our clients. APS provides affordable solutions to local and federal fire departments throughout the US and Canada. Our team consists of active and retired fire service personnel to provide the very best solution to meet our client’s needs. Thank you for your business and be safe.

Message From APS Firehouse Alerting
Greetings,
Automated Protection Systems, Inc. was incorporated in 1995. For 30 years, Mark and Cindy Hare have led APS with passion and commitment. APS has grown over the years from a young security company to experts in Security, Access Control, and Firehouse Alerting Systems (APS Firehouse Alerting). Throughout those years, innovation was nurtured, growth was encouraged, and leadership was shown. Not only is the company a success, but a family was built.
Without the leadership of the Hare’s, APS would not be as successful as they have been up until this point. Mark and Cindy have decided it is time to retire and spend more time with family, travel the country, and enjoy life. While they are stepping away from what they have built from the ground up, they are passing the business along to two current employees who are excited to lead APS into its next chapter of growth.
With excitement, Dale Hicks and Austin Johnstone have partnered to carry on the APS legacy. There are big shoes to fill, but we are up to the challenge and look forward to enhancing our current relationships as well as building new ones.
The mission of APS will remain the same, provide superior system design and service arounceach customer’s needs. Our customer service that you have come to expect will remain the same, we will be on call 24/7/365, ready to help with any issue.
While we are sad to see Mark and Cindy go, they have worked incredibly hard and deserve to enjoy this next chapter.
